Family portraits taken in my Newton Abbot photography studio.

Dartington Hall wedding photography

What a beautiful place Dartington Hall is to have your wedding. There are so many fantastic places for photography I could have kept going all day.

Male model portfolios in Devon

With some fantastic locations in South Devon for photography, this model wanted a winter collection for his portfolio, and the back drop certainly works well.

Children at Weddings

These two looked amazing and were so well behaved at a recent wedding I photographed in Devon. I just thought you would like to see them.

Baby studio photography in Newton Abbot

With the latest promotion running saving 50% on studio portrait sessions, it has brought in a lot of parents wanting gift ideas for family and friends. New born baby photography sessions can be very rewarding both for the photographer and the parents, as with this session we ended up with so many beautiful baby images it was difficult for the parents to decide which ones to send out to their family.

TV programme "Britain's Empty Homes" photography

I was recently asked to attend a family gathering and photograph everyone together as a special keep sake. Various members of the family had travelled from all over the UK to celebrate their mum's 60th birthday. The house they had hired for their weekend visit to Devon was featured a week later on national television in a programme called "Britain's Empty Homes". Hotel Interiors Photography in Paignton

Interior images for hotel brochures and websites are not difficult to achieve providing you know what you are looking for in your final images. Blown out windows means the rooms are full of light and look more spacious, combined with a very wide-angle lens will add more space to your rooms. When using a wide-angle lens the walls tend to look sloped at the edges so work has to be carried out on the image afterwards. This is the perfect style for small bedrooms when you need the emphasise space. For more hotel interiors photography visit http://www.kjhmedia.co.uk/

Newton Abbot in bloom

Whilst putting together a shooting plan for a future wedding at Forde Hall in Newton Abbot, I thought I would take advantage of the beautiful sunshine and flowers that were blooming in Courteney Park. Since Sally Henley has taken over as town center manager, Newton Abbot has really developed into a beautiful place, long gone are the days of it being known as simply a market town. It now has lovely parks, a vibrant town center and is a great place to do business with its road and rail links to the rest of the country. I had a meeting today with the town center manager and expressed my views and we are now looking at building a more colourful display on their websites to really push the town.

Web TV interviews

Web TV filming in Torquay

Having spent the week waiting for the mist to clear and the sun to shine, yesterday we started filming a web interview with the independant candidate for Torbay Mayor, Susie Colley. It was fairly early and the sun lit up the bay beautifully and Susie said her scripted piece to camera and the whole project was wrapped within 30 minutes. Editing starts now and we hope to have the video available for you to see on this site fairly soon. Web interviews are the latest in page ranking exercises and also help you put across your personality as well as your business proposition - a great piece of marketing!

Premier Cru restaurant photography in Torquay

Wellswood in Torquay is the location of a restaurant and bar called Premier Cru, and I have to say this is one of my favourite haunts. It is beautifully and stylishly decorated and has a relaxed and casual ambiance making it the perfect place for a daytime drink, evening meal or somewhere just to unwind and relax at the end of the day. The staff are always happy, friendly and always willing to serve - and let's face it that makes a nice welcome change these days! Do I sound old now?! I was asked to photograph this restaurant for advert and website use, which is was great for me as there are so many interesting corners and artwork dotted around the place. Amici's Restaurant

A busy week this week having photographed more visitor attractions and restaurants in and around the Torbay area. Amici’s restaurant in Torquay offered new challenges with UV lighting and nightime shots on a busy Saturday night with party-goers taking to the streets early. Trying to get a clear street without pedestrians or attracting attention to myself took quite a while, but I got there eventually and the resultant shots are again being used in their advertising and promotions.
